Who Are We?

The easy answer is that we are a 119-year-old business, with four generations of Johnsons devoted to the craft of making, designing, repairing and selling jewelry and watches.

The Complicated Answer Follows…

We currently are a family of four adults working in the shop (plus two little guys running about). We are committed to our community, our clients, and our ideal of being the best independent jeweler possible.

We do what we love: making jewelry, restoring heirlooms, and establishing long-term relationships with those who walk through the door. Each repair, each new design is an extension of who we are: jewelers committed to the experience and end-product desired by our clientele.

The great thing about being independent is that we can make decisions to benefit our individual client, and also make the jewelry that we personally love. Why worry about what will sell 1000 times? We just need to worry about what YOU want.

We embrace the ethics of the American Gem Society and Jewelers of America, and are proud members of those associations. Our raw precious metals are sourced from Hoover and Strong’s “Harmony” mill products (100% recycled) and we fully follow the Kimberly Process for diamonds. Whenever possible we source Fair Trade gemstones.

Community Service

Our family is very active in supporting the arts, educational, and philanthropic organizations. We currently serve on the Board of Directors of Puyallup Main Street Association, Puyallup Public Library Foundation, and Northwest Sinfonietta. We have formerly served on the boards of Pacific Northwest Jewelry Association, WA Chapter of the Gemological Institute of America Alumni Association, the Puyallup Chapter of Altrusa International, and Valley Arts United. Other current memberships include the Karshner Guild (Mary Bridge Brigade) and P.E.O.

Details Do Matter!

Each repair, every custom order, and every piece we make is finished to our high standards. This takes time. We’re proud of what we do – we don’t promise we’re the quickest, but we will do our very best – every time.
